Is The Coronation Street Cult EDUCO?
Since March 2024, Coronation Street (a long-running Soap-Opera series on ITV in the UK) has been running a story about a "Personal Development Seminar" shrouding a malicious cult.
There are many parallels to EDUCO in this fictional cult:
- Manchester recruitment
- the clumsy discredited Mind/Computer analogies
- the £200 a month food-supplement programme
- the kompromat collected during Hypnotherapy sessions
- the 2-week isolated Seminar
- Court Injunctions and false police reports made against critics
- The belief that positive-thinking can cure Cancer
So is the Coronation Street Cult story influenced by EDUCO?
